Rose wine can be made from any red grape. Our latest discovery is from Barbera, a characteristic varietal in Northern Italy. Now cultivated in California (with a lot of success) this wine is made in a uniquely light style that's extremely versatile.
The flavors of this lighter-style wine are a bit in the background, but you'll distinguish pink strawberry, raspberry and perhaps a touch of plum on the back end. A good way to train your palate to pick up the more subtle nuances in flavors of wine.
