Lazy Lab Chenin Blanc Clarksburg 2017
United States
$30.00
($20.00 MEMBER)
Plush fruit flavors and smooth texture make this a great summer sipper.
Description

The Chenin Blanc varietal is native to the central Loire Valley in France, and also to the vineyards of South Africa, where itÕs called ÒSteen.Ó Either way, itÕs one of the worldÕs most approachable and enjoyable white wines, either alone or with a wide range of international cuisines.

From an emerging winegrowing area south of Sacramento, this wine brings you very up-front aromas and flavors of lush yellow fruit, including nectarine, apricot, and peach. The mouthfeel is balanced by a hint of red apple and melon. Its lower acidity makes it very round on the palate, with a lingering finish.

PORK CHOPS WITH APPLES

The slight sweetness of Chenin Blanc serves as a sensational accompaniment to sweeter dishes. Pan-seared pork chops, simmered in a mixture of white wine, butter, and apples will show this wine to great advantage.
