On the western edge of Washingtonís Columbia Basin is a relatively new Ancient Lakes appellation. The 35 lakes that run through the area provide a moderating influence on the climate, making it ideal for the cultivation of (mostly) white wine grapes.
This new Direct Cellars brand is named for our Winemaker, Stephen Burch and Wine Director, Jerry Greenfield. Mostly Sauvignon Blanc with a touch of Chenin Blanc for sweetness, it offers intense aromas of orange peel and just a hint of lemon. The palate is smooth, with lemon cream sensations and an enduring finish.
LEMON SHRIMP PASTA
The vibrant citrus flavors make it an ideal pairing with shellfish. Pan-fry the shrimp in butter, garlic, salt, pepper, and fresh lemon juice, and toss the pasta with a sprinkle of parsley.
